Introducing Giulia: A New Italian-American Dining Experience in the Hudson Valley

Building on the success and community support behind the Arlington restaurant Spettro, longtime collaborators and Hudson Valley hospitality professionals Giovanni Ilardi and Michael Purcell announce the opening of Giulia, a new restaurant concept that reimagines the traditions of Italian-American cuisine with a fresh, inviting perspective. Giulia will officially open to the public on September 8, 2026, in Poughkeepsie, New York.

From its inception, Giulia was not simply about expanding Spettro’s reach, but about evolving what it means to share Italian cuisine and heritage in the Hudson Valley. Inspired by the response to Spettro and a shared passion for travel, authentic food, and the warmth of Italian hospitality, Ilardi and Purcell created a space that reflects both their roots and their vision for something entirely new.
